Kaeline Argarôme Bain (bath) Argan Oil
An unforgettable bath!! In addition to the wonderful smell (lavender, rosemary & lemon), this argan oil is the best product I have ever found for my skin. Can't believe that an oil can actually not leave my skin greasy - just soft and smooth. Even better, it is 100% natural, no chemicals, preservatives, and the argan itself is completely organic. I saw a video on You Tube how argan oil is produced in Morocco by all-women cooperatives and it provides fair wages and help them support their families. The Kaeline products I have tried come in beautiful bottles (recyclable glass) which was a nice surprise because I usually expect products that are good for you to look functional, not nice enough to display. I think Kaeline is definitely an affordable luxury but still not well known in the US. I have to buy it online (no big deal and cheap to ship) but I hope more stores and spas will start selling it. I almost hate to brag on it because I am afraid that everybody will read this and they will sell out (-: If you are bath diva like me, you will love it!!

Black is a unisex scent. It's in the dry woods family, and its' top notes are Black Tea, Rosewood and Bergamot. What makes this fragrance a winner for me tough, are the heart and base notes. What makes this fragrance a winner for me tough, are the heart and base notes. Heart notes are Cedar, Oakmoss and Vanilla; base notes are Amber, Sandalwood and Musk. It's woody and spicy... only slightly sweet. I love the masculine edge of this scent worn on women, and the feminine edge of this scent worn on men. Spray one wrist and rub them together in the morning. It's all you'll need to last through the day. Repeat once more if you're going out on the town, if you must. I typically wear this scent paired with L'Occitane Notre Flore Cedre, which also features very rich notes. Notre Flore is more feminine than Black, but does have a masculine appeal. Top notes Wood sap and Grapefruit; heart notes Cumin and Tobacco leaves; base notes Cedar and Tonka bean. Because the scents are so strong, I have a small perfume bottle which I mixed a bit of each in. Having the scents mixed avoids having to spray twice, which I feel would be too overpowering. The scents are beautiful together and individually. »

Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'isse... In life, I like to see, taste, feel and explore everything and anything I can get my hands on. But when it comes to what fragrances go on my body during those adventures, I am a creature of habit. Issey Miyake's L'Eau d'issey is one of only two scents that I wear. Had my introduction to it been contingent upon the description of undertones on its box, I might never have tried it. I tend to gravitate toward darker, exotic and primal scents, a preference which leads me to conclude that parts of me were left back in a cave somewhere when evolution came calling (a theory which, as an aside, explains several other things about me. I shall save those for later. You can exhale now. I'm done sharing my issues for today). Miyake's fragrance has enough musk and other things to carry out "erotic exotic" but had I glanced at the chorus line of floral scents before smelling it my nose would have kept on moving down the line. I usually don't do things like Carnation in life or in scents. As it happened, I was standing in an international airport Duty Free shop when a woman with a feisty haircut, fantastic heels and a good 6 inches of height over me walked up next to me, picked up the sample, raised one arm up high with the bottle and, while holding her shirt open and exposing her (my guess? La Perla) balconette bra, doused us both with it. Then walked away. I admire a woman with fragrance cojones like that. Even when she sprays my eye. At any rate, my hetero-girl-girl airport crush aside, other people loved the fragrance as well. Of course I bought my first bottle right there at the airport, still squinting with one eye. I received more compliments from strangers (four women in that airport alone stopped me to ask what I was wearing) that one afternoon after having been sprayed upside the head than ever before on a scent. And I loved it myself. I really, really loved it. Many years later, I still do. That is why it is one of only two fragrances you will ever catch me wearing.
