Phoenix Gold Ryval V10S (pg-v10s) Subwoofers

I highly recomend these subs. Even if it's just one or two or three and even four, you will be very happy. I bought a pair of these without hearing them and am very happy I did. The subs hit hard in a sealed box, I can imagine what they'd sound like in a ported. They are 4 ohm 150 watts continuous and 600 watts peak. I have mine in a sealed custom made, CAD designed box I built myself with 3/4 inch MDF wood. Open box inside not 2 chambers, since I'm running in mono thats how you would want your sealed box designed. Now, if your gonna run them in stereo you would want a box with seperate chambers inside. If I hooked mine up in stereo in my type of box, it would not sound good at all. I would lose a lot of my bass. When you build a box all opened inside and running the subs in mono the box is acting like one speaker box. Now if running in stereo you would need 2 chambers inside, basicly a divider down the middle inside the box creating a single speaker box for each sub. I know this cause I have found out thru my own experience. I would imagine there are some peoplr who would disagree but I've heard the difference for my self. Well, like I said hooked up to my Directed 1200d/5 amp running the sub channel @ 2ohms gives me 400 RMS under rated watts. If I was to get the Phoenix Gold Ryval V10D subs which are dual voice coil I could run my amp @ 1ohm givin me 600 RMS under rated watts cause this amp is 1ohm stable. The amp was called Directeds' flag ship model back in 2004 when it came out. You can also read about the amp on my page also. Thanks for lookin.
