Armed with a crisp new sound and a solid EP, The Rift packs a punch with great lyrics and melodies that will no doubt have you singing along. More streamlined and melodic than their previous efforts, without compromising their powerful, aggressive, intelligent and musically complex sound. The title track from this album is my favorite.

You know how when bands get more mainstream their records get significantly worse - not the case with this Fall Out Boy gem. Sure there are some haters and nay-sayers, but I think this album rocks.

I love Paramore and Hayley......just up and down and have fun music. I love to this on during road trips. Or times I just want to feel happy in my car. For a Pessimist....is a great song to begin this album.

Metro Station are another one of my favorite new power punk bands. Their debut CD is really fun and upbeat. My favorite song off the album is the single, "Shake It" but I also recommend "Control".

There's something just catchy enough to suck you in about these songs. At first listen I wasn't sure how I felt about these songs, they seemed a bit middle-ground, but then I found myself humming "I Want to Save You" and "I Woke ... While Tom DeLonge going on to Angles & Airwaves, it took the other two members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker a little bit more time to put together a new outfit. +44 is definitely in the same vein as Blink-182, catchy pop-punk songs. Although some of the songs here are a bit darker, making you wonder if they're exorcising some of their resentment towards their former bandmate.
