This E.P. is good, but this is all about the included DVD. Spencer and Zach on tour as HELLA, but the DVD also presents a wonderful journey into the world of the noise/math/prog rock scene of Japan.

Although "Lulu" fits in the tight sonic space Scott Walker cut into pop music, I like to think of "Lulu" as Opera, or a contemporary refection of that genre. On the other hand, "Lulu" could also be looked at as an audio book, which in someways is more exciting. Still I would love to see how "Lulu" might be translated for the stage or as a silent movie soundtrack.

There's a truck load of talent on this one, but WPOD ("White Punks On Dope") is still the ruler on this Rock masterpiece, or was it "Modo Bondage"--no "Boy Crazy"! No its "What Do You Want from Life?" Ah... "White Punks On Dope"

This was the record that pushed Muse really in their own direction. Full of great, eccentric songs. "Time is Running Out" has a great dancable energy, while "Butterflies & Hurricanes" has a classical piano solo. How crazy-great... This was the record that pushed Muse really in their own direction. I love Muse. There's something amazing about their blend of big guitars, classical piano, and massive bass lines. More dancable than previous records, and continuing their maturation into their own unique sound.
