Another easy gadget may of us urbanites and suburbanites can use: public transportation. It's efficient, (saving 1.4 billions gallons of gas each year), gives you some quality personal time to read or listen to your iPod, and allows those of us in colder climes to avoid having to scape off an inch of ice from our windshield every morning and afternoon.

Of all the things I imagined I would miss once I left Manhattan, never in my wildest dreams would I have believed that I would miss the subway. But I do. Maybe not the crowds or certain stops, but definitely the convenience and ... And after all that NYC has been through over the past decade, it is good to know that the subway keeps rolling along . . .
