Singing in the Rain: Allegri Produces Teens' Fashion Designs
Italian fashion brand Allegri, famous for their glam rainwear and outwear since 1960, announced at the beginning of the school year 08/09 a contest for junior students of HSFI to create unique rain accessories to complement the Allegri collections utilizing rain boots and umbrellas. The final designs of boots and umbrellas presented in June, were so interesting that Allegri’s CEO Gian Maria Argentini decided to create a limited edition of unisex rain boots as an extension of the Allegri collections for the next seasons. The students will be able to see their ideas and sketches become final commercial products. They loved to work on this project. They were excited to be confronted with the real challenges of production. This was a unique opportunity to connect the world of creative ideas to the reality of fashion. Allegri is known for collaborating with a variety of creative sources and for its partnership with young talented designers that included in the past Victor and Rolf, Neil Barrett and for the current season Neapolitan couturier Francesco Scognamiglio.
