Rashguards are great. You can use them for their UV protection, 'rash' protection (hence the name) or just for something to wear on top while at the beach. They also provide a bit of warmth in cooler waters. Quiksilver makes some of the best RashGuards around. They are super comfortable and have a cool little UV protected logo on the arm. They have simple, plain styles in multiple colors, but also some cooler ones if you want to be a bit more conspicuous. Perfect for surfers, snorkelers, divers, or those just a little cheap with the sunscreen. Oh, did I mention these things protect you from Jellyfish? It's a long story, don't ask.....
One of the best rashguards available. Loops to attach to your boardshorts, hood, elastic drawstring, SPF protection and more.
This is the most unusual wetsuit available right now. Planning on an underwater wedding? This is the suit for you.

If you have very fair skin or just don't feel like slathering sunblock everywhere, check out some of Coolibar's stuff. While I haven't used their products personally, I know people who do and they love them. Their swimwear is probably their best, most useful collection. Don't expect fashion here, but there's plenty of utility. They are one of only a handful of manufacturers to make full-sleeved rashguards (which often have a handy zipper down the front). They also sell swim shorts, skirts and tights, plus sun hats and regular-wear shirts and pants for both men and women. All of their garments are rated UPF 50+, which is the highest sun protection you can get.
