Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi
This is another piece of studio equipment on my wish list. I use this for shooting my art work and get some pretty amazing results. The raw files are larger giving me a lot more wiggle room to manipulate image size.

Seriously great DSLR. Allows you to control everything from brightness to focus to shutter speed with great ease and produces great photos fast every time.

You must be cute, obviously, but if you're a girl then being a photographer is also a huge plus... but you have to have a professional digital SLR for anybody to care. They run a bit expensive, but it's a small price to pay for e-... Be sure to get lots of close-ups on flowers, insects, and other things in nature--things that look the same even though every photographer insists on continuously taking pictures of them... or take pictures of yourself doing something that's not that clever, but add a catchy caption to it.
