Alentejo Bowls: CORK

Alentejo Bowls: CORK

HOT HOT HOT. These sculpted cork bowls are a beautiful example of what I like to call Organic Minimal, exemplified by all the wooden housewares I'm drooling over these days - sleek, simple, and seriously pretty. Bonus: they're made from reclaimed waste cork and non-toxic epoxy adhesive - and the big one can be used as a bike helmet (in a pinch). ($118 at Branch)

Lightweight, waterproof, reusable, affordable. We adore this assortment of 5 environmentally friendly (and totally groovy) Envirosax bags - rolled up in a carrying pouch small enough to stow into a glove box or a handbag. With reinforced seams, each surprisingly large bag holds the equivalent weight of 2 supermarket plastic bags. And…they’re really, really cute!!

The nut encasement is often discarded. Harrison combines an injection molding process with ground shells and a binding compound, to make these smooth Husque bowls. The interiors are bright and remind me of candy-coated chocolates. Very touchable and clever.
