Salton 3 Cup Rice Cooker
This is such a practical little rice cooker. It definitely gets its fair share of use in my apartment. It makes up to 3 cups of rice which is plenty for a small dinner party. Very functional and easy to use.

All of the other rice cookers I've recommended have had a metal pan. I've always cooked rice in a metal pan, but I like the idea of cooking rice in a clay pot. If the yellow is too girly or bright for your kitchen, this white one might be just the one for you. It still steams and cooks like it's larger brethren. But at just 3 cups it's great for cooking for one.

I went home this weekend to celebrate my dad's birthday. while there I was reminded of the fact that when I'm home I do most of the cooking and that I'm cooking for more people than I normally do. I love rice, but I'm not cooking for a family, so those 10 cup rice makers (or even 6 cup rice makers) leave me with far too much rice! A four cup rice cooker leaves me with just the amount of rice I need for the night, plus some... I am totally digging the decals on the side of this rice cooker - totally old school. This is a really good size - make plenty of rice for plenty of people, 5.5 cups! Easy to use and killer decals.
