Only a lucky 1,800 men and women actually get to attempt the race. Unfortunately, I don't think they will have much time to enjoy the scenery.

I never knew there was such a problem while running until I started doing endurance long runs. Chafe?!?! You'll chafe in places where you'd never imagine. That's because the texture of your shirt moving up and down while running will make them sensitive. Also, it's great for preventing blisters, chafing from your shirt, or fuel belt. So.... for preventive action, use this!

I did not use the heartrate monitor just yet, but I soon will during my future training runs.

Since I have yet to run a marathon, I am out of luck for this year . . . but look for me in 2009.
