Teepee: Designed by Mukwa Teepees
Originally designed as portable housing for a travelling lifestyle, teepees could be said to be North America’s earliest RV, without the greenhouse gas emissions. Teepees are based on over ten thousand years of finely tuned technological development. The ideal green portable home for nature getaways, teepees are warm in cold weather and cool in hot weather. They are dry in rainy weather, safe in the severest windstorms, and they are earthquake proof. Traditional Native teepees are energy efficient, solar heated, naturally ventilated, and have air conditioning powered by the natural energies of the atmosphere! Also, because they are built to also keep the heat in when needed, a small fire from dead branches is enough to keep the space of the teepee warm for the evening. Using the grass as it's floor, it allows the earth to breathe. When camping in a teepee, you can be sure to leave your camping space with the most minimal impact on the environment.
