Nero by Alpinestars
This has to be some of the best motorcycle gear I’ve ever seen (and bought). Their style is great (see photos on website http://www.alpinestarsnero.com). I was most impressed, though, when I tried the products on. I ran across them in a store in Barcelona called Motocard. I bought a leather Skeletal jacket and a boot called Sportivo and ended up purchasing a jacket for my girlfriend online a few weeks later (they have some pretty sexy jackets for women). The jackets and footwear are protective but also soft and flexible (I liked the sleek look). The protection is well integrated into the shape of the boots, and the foam protectors in the elbows and shoulders are nearly invisible - they're quite slim compared to a few of the other brands I tried and were less rigid, reacting like a memory foam. I asked the sales assistant and he confirmed they were CE-certified. Also, their leathers are very high-quality. The jackets and boots look like they came from a luxury brand. Do try the footwear on. You might initially think that it is not what you are used to, but you should try the boots. I'm glad I did because they look much more at home on the bike than anything I've worn before. I use my motorcycle primarily to commute to and from my restaurant business in Milan, and so I need motorcycle gear that looks sharp. One caveat - this is slightly pricey stuff, but after these first three months of use, I'm still quite confident that I got what I paid for. Nero has raised the bar for motorcycle gear.
