This is a fabulous palette that also works to cut down on the amount of products you need to use/pack to achieve a really nice, sexy “glow”. I loved the sleek and modern packaging, with a cute little brush included in the botto... This is a fabulous palette that also works to cut down on the amount of products you need to use/pack to achieve a really nice, sexy “glow”. I loved the sleek and modern packaging, with a cute little brush included in the bottom compartment. Although when I used it at home I applied with my bronzer brushes. As a nice little touch it also includes the names some of the most glamorous vacation destinations on the front of the pack in bold pink– Monaco, Tokyo, Ibiza, Capri, etc… The compact has nine color cubes in all: three shimmery powders (gold, chocolate, bronze); three light to medium tan powders with a bit of a peach undertone; and three medium to chocolate brown powders with some gold elements. The shimmery shades are separated from the matte shades, which makes it very easy to pick the type of look that you want. During the day I tended to use the mat shades and apply the shimmer as a subtle highlight on my cheekbones and as a highlighter on my eyes. At night I would swirl the brush over all the cubes and build up to much more noticeable shimmery bronzed look on my cheeks and my eyes. The texture of all the shades are silky smooth and the lasting power is very good. This compact will work best for eyes and cheeks up to a Kerry Washington complexion, however, if used just for eyes and as a highlighter this will work on all skin tones, even as deep as Alex Wek, for example.

The travel-friendly packets lay flat with a smooth, clear gel which gave me a nice shimmer effect. The shimmer is evenly distributed and the fine particles are a kaleidoscope of colors like red, blue and pink. Even better, it gave my skin a “cooling” sensation, with a fresh, light, floral fragrance which was great for ultra hot temps. I used this in a few ways, after coming off the beach I applied it directly to my body (the shimmer didn’t come off on my clothes either – perfect!). At night I also mixed one packet with my tinted body lotion for a really nice and very moisturizing body lotion. This body gel will work with all skin tones too. This will be my secret little summer beauty weapon to a sexy glow!

I’ve never used Givenchy mascara before, and I was very impressed not only but the packaging and luxury of this product, but also the performance. It gave me really intense lashes that were just as the color describes, black, but with a very nice tinge of deep purple, which I loved, especially for evening looks (It also photographs really well!). I had volume, (most importantly) length and no smudges, flaking or smearing. Two coats were really all that was needed (as a matter of fact, I only got clumping when I tried to layer it on more than this). This is a lovely mascara and I look forward to exploring more of Givenchy!
