The light pulse is pretty bright, so I chose to close my eyes as I was using it. The light pulse feels sort of like a slap or pinch, but it is very fast, so the slight pain sensation goes away very quickly. I like the "Umber" for it's elegant simplicity. I also highly recommend the online store - their goal is to sell every swatch ever made. EVER. The only con is they are located in The Netherlands, and with the Euro to Dollar ratio looking like a cow on one side of the scale with a feather on the other, prices are high. But browse the site and find a cool Swatch you can wear - who needs a Rolex when you've got this?
