It appears they have 10 "kinds" of bars, but my store only has 2 or 3 (I don't know because I am only obsessed with the next recommendation!) Gluten-free, wheat-free, dairy-free and preservative-free ~ but the taste will knock your socks off! (A few bars are not dairy-free). The main reason it's part of my detox plan? No refined sugar! It's sweetened mainly with honey and contain only nuts, fruits and berries. *no, this isn't necessarily low in fat and calories, but it's a quality food, showing me that if we eat what we're meant to eat ~~ that provided by the earth, not a machine ~~ our bodies will reward us with good health.

I am gluten-allergic, and all Lara Bars are gluten free. The lemon bars are really awesome, but my favorites are the Ginger Snap and the Coconut. Lara Bars are not made with high fructose anything, and nothing you can't pronounce. The ingredients are things like dates, figs, coconut, cocoa, ginger, cherries, bananas -- you get the picture. They are all chewy, sweet and satisfying!

Who knows what you'll round up to eat on the road or once you're at the festival, so sneak in a few - or a box - of these delicious Yogurt Honey Peanut Balance Bars. Much better than living off of the Coachella food - though I would never talk you out of the In N Out drive-thrus on your bumper-to-bumper ride to the desert.

  • The best bars I have had in a very long time. I often pack them in my suitcase when I travel. They are about 140 calories, made with whole soy and dried fruit. OUTSTANDING!
