The Aran Islands lie at the mouth of Galway Bay, at the mercy of the relentless Atlantic Sea. The Islands inhabitants were fishermen and farmers whose lives were richly woven with each other. The Sweater came out of this place as a symbol of Irish Clan heritage and this lands' climate.
