Star Trek Retro Action Figures
Oh my goodness. Christmas Break, 1979. One of those discount places that's hardly ever open, with tables and tables of bins of things nobody bought the first time around... or when it went on sale... or when it went on clearance. There was a big bin of Mego Star Trek 8" action figures--mostly McCoy, as I recall, but there might have been some Kirks and Spocks too. I didn't buy them. I've been regretting it ever since. Now my chance has come around again, in the form of these nifty reproductions of the truly ugly Mego figures. I don't know that I want them anymore, but they'd make nice stocking stuffers for the Trek fans on your list this year.

Having never been a real Star Trek fan, i was skeptical going in. However, it's good enough to make trekies out of the most normal of us.

Even though it had a very different feel than the original series, I loved this movie. All of the elements of a good star trek flick were there... heart-pounding action, suspense, unexpected twists involving the space-time continu... All of the elements of a good star trek flick were there... heart-pounding action, suspense, unexpected twists involving the space-time continuum. I'd expect nothing less from a film directed by J.J. Abrams (Lost, Alias). Here's hoping they make more like this.

Ok, I held off watching this tv series because I thought it was too nerdy with the spaceships and such, but after so many recommendations from friends, I gave in. I can't believe what I was missing out! The acting is amazing, the ... I can't believe what I was missing out! The acting is amazing, the storylines are deep, and the suspense is awesome! There's a lot of drama to this show, and don't understimate the power of this show. It's clearly one of my favorites now!
