Okay, it's not all about having "nice" stationery for your wedding day. Alas, the days of having proper calling cards (i don't count business cards as calling cards), seem to have gone out of "fashion", but as we know, fashion and... Alas, the days of having proper calling cards (i don't count business cards as calling cards), seem to have gone out of "fashion", but as we know, fashion and trends are quite (emphasis) different from style (emphasis). As a freelance writer and author, it is difficult to know what my "card" should say or have. To this end, I had some printed with simply my name and the word "writer" and a contact phone number and email. Not address, etc. The name is on the front, the other information on the back and a small decorative detail from the type Perpetua. - if you're going to do this, go letterpress. Go with a heavy paperstock, off white - natural or ivory (Monadnock makes a beautiful stock), but something older - I have a friend who has one that reads, "The Former Mrs. ___" I may change mine to say "The Future Ex-Wife of _____" All joking aside, calling cards are a wonderful way to leave personal notes etc and you can have them sized to your preference. Just one woman's opinion.
