Find a Steelers bar near you!
I spent most of my childhood overseas, the son of two DOD employees stationed in faraway countries that thought soccer was the real "football." I've never lived in Pittsburgh, or even within 200 miles of it, but my dad was a fan. I've been a fan since birth. My sister was actually born during kickoff of Super Bowl XIII, January 21, 1979. My mother, a Green Bay Packers fan, dutifully supported the guys in the family as we rooted for the Steelers. This is a true story. Mom gives birth to my little sister (my only sibling) during kickoff. The nurse takes the baby away to be cleaned up, etc., and when she returns, my mom blurts out, "What's the score of the game?" The nurse, temporarily stunned, says, "But don't you want to see your daught -- " And my mom interrupts and screams, "NEVERMIND THAT! WHAT'S THE SCORE OF THE GAME!?" (The telling of this story undoubtedly scars my little sister to this day. Eh... she's a Ravens fan. She's used to disappointment and humiliation.) Anyway, my point is that sometimes it's hard to be a Steelers fan when you don't live near Pittsburgh. However, we have bars all over the country -- literally, all over the country -- where you can meet up with a few hundred rabid fellow "Stillers" fans and throw back a bucket of Iron City beer, munch on pierogies, and taunt Brownies fans. This website is your key to finding a good Steelers bar no matter where you live, travel, or wake up after a College Football Saturday drinkfest. All fifty states plus D.C. are represented, as well as Canada, Mexico, England, Brazil, The Netherlands, Thailand, Switzerland, Germany... hell, I'll just stop typing now. Literally 50 countries. Awesome stuff.
