This movie horrified me. It was so good and it annoyed me when people used to tell me it wasn't scary, because they are obviously lying. Also Mischa Barton has a great performance in this movie.

Because a daughterly respect for D.W.'s work. Not that I'm his daughter. I'm just waaay too young to have a crush on him, wouldn't feel right. He rocks his roles.

He went from gory low brow B movies like Bad Taste to mainstream fair like Heavenly Creatures to Lord of the Rings. Consistency, please. Heavenly Creatures is at first a sweet movie about the friendship between two teen girls that moves to being a little odd, to awkward, to disturbing. One of these girls is crazy and takes the other one to crazytown with her.

Until I saw this movie, I thought that it would be hard to empathize with anyone who stole for fun and profit. But, then, I had never imagined a character so intractably evil and resonate of the devil as Keyser Söze. Who that ch... Until I saw this movie, I thought that it would be hard to empathize with anyone who stole for fun and profit. But, then, I had never imagined a character so intractably evil and resonate of the devil as Keyser Söze. Who that character is remains a mystery until the bloody and bitter end. And the plot twist is truly the pièce de résistance of the film. And, of course, there is nothing "usual" about any of the suspects.
