100% Recycled Multipurpose Paper

100% Recycled Multipurpose Paper

Look at that, 100% post consumer recycled at Office Max! Is there ANY reason we all shouldn't be buying it? They also have 30%, but why? Just bought two reams and I felt great doing it. It's sad that more local places don't offer more eco-friendly options. More recycled products!!!!

  • An ancient Ayurvedic practice, scraping your tongue gets rid of far more bacteria and odor-causing debris than brushing alone. This one from Preserve is (you guessed it!) 100% recyclable and made from 100% recycled materials.

This particular design has a silicone lid that securely attaches to the cup. The outside is matte and the inside is glazed. I prefer a version that Starbucks put out a few months ago. Their version is pretty much the same, but the outside is glazed (and of course has their logo) and the lid is plastic with a silicone liner to keep liquids sealed in. The key difference between the two is the price. "I Am Not A Paper Cup" is roughly $20 and the Starbucks version is $12. The upsides to either is that if you are a daily coffee drinker, you don't have to trash a paper cup and plastic lid every time you get take-out coffee. The downside is that both of them hold about 8 oz. - not favorable if you normally order a "grande" at Starbucks. Another issue for commuters is that it is not spill-proof or splash-proof. And finally, the Starbucks version CANNOT go into the microwave.

Just seems ridiculous NOT to use it. (Over an acre, look into an electric) Also, I will take this time to remind people to LEAVE THE GRASS CLIPPINGS ON THE LAWN! As long as the grass isn't so high that it's leaving huge clumps, those clippings are better for your grass (nitrogen=green) than any fertilizer. I'm an ex-landscape designer, so you can trust me.

How totally cool (like, really!) I love my iced tea, so I follow my dentist's advice in drinking those staining liquids through a straw so the front of my teeth don't suffer the consequences....AND......believe it or not........straws have been a major issue with the waste and the way I reuse the same ones at home. Not sure anything qualifies as functional art as much as this! Some may not consider this to be a NEED, but it is for me!! Super strong glass Used with cold or hot liquids (hot?) Guaranteed against breakage Cleaning brush available

That hump in the handle........melts right into your palm. And the medium brush is more like soft, which my dentist recommended. Overall: Happy "Replaceable head toothbrush with renewable resource handle. Wood Fiber blended with PLA, a plastic derived entirely from Nebraska maize. The resulting material is 100% renewal resource." It is kind of silly that we must throw away an entire toothbrush. I'm not sure how much impact this would have, but it states something about how one prefers to live.

Sunlight enters through the glass door, while the black inside transforms it to heat. Bake, boil or steam similar to the rate of a conventional oven without ever burning. Collapsible and only 21lbs. Ok, so maybe I'm convincing myself to get one now! How awesome for camping or the backyard!
