So I set my expectations on "bottom" and pressed play,... The first track didn't do much for me, but it also wasn't cluttered with a lot of ego-rapping all over it, so I went to the next track and was instantly happy with the direction that The Neptune's took with "Never Can Say Goodbye", but the throwaway talk added to the track ruined the song for me, so on to the next track, Dallas Austin's take on "I Wanna Be Where You Are", I loved it, the next track, Polow's "Dancing Machine" sold me! Polow takes one J5's signature hits and firmly shapes it with a contemporary sound (Wow speaking about contemporary remixes, Benny Blanco's remix of "Ain't No Sunshine" is so epic in it's feel that it could be expanded across a series of albums.), and then Salaam Remi's remix of ABC--yes! I began to realize that this was not just a good collection, it was crucial. For example Emile Haynie mix of "Maria" gave legs to a song that I would usually pass up in it's original version. and then I listened to the next and the next and now I'm here recommending it. I understand this album was just the tip of the Michael Jackson Remix iceberg, I hope the other additions are as exciting as this one. Thank you Motown.

The epic tale of Michael Jackson is a captivating late 20th century story of an extraordinary artist who's quixotic image amplified his artistic vision into mythic proportions. It's interesting to me to see a Rolling Stone Magazine 's take on the Jackson story. RS 1084 was published a few weeks after Michael Jackson's untimely passing at a time when questions about his death resulted in a series of autopsies, that kept his body from being released to a final resting place. Like other magazines the cover story begins to look at what Mr Jackson's last days might have been like, and what impact Jackson's unfinished masterpiece would have had on his legacy. The Rolling Stone was born around the same time that young Michael Jackson (at 10 years old) wowed the public with his brothers The Jackson 5. As Michael Jackson grew up and changed appearance and artistic direction, so did RS, and since Rolling Stone Magazine has followed Michael Jackson's story from the very beginning I feel that there is a kind of even ground that this story might be given coming from a editors who might view Jackson as one of their own.

  • Sadly it was the concert that never happened. For now The official Jackson tour website is offering fans the opportunity to buy goods from the London residency. Which is a kind of bitter sweet, you know.

The immense collection, assembled in this catalog, represented the personal property and contents of Michael Jackson’s private amusement park and family residence to be sold during a live auction, televised and real-time online auction broadcast by Auction Network during the spring of 2009, needless to say, it was one of the most anticipated auctions in history. But, Julien's "Michael Jackson Auction" was closed down before it could open.
