Lloyd Flanders Chaise Lounge
Someday, I hope to have a sweeping front porch on a stunning cottage-style New England home, where I can sit outside with my marvelous family (including puppies, of course!) sipping fresh-brewed iced tea and enjoying friends playing guitar and singing softly. Until then, this lounge chair will have to do! Of course, I'll take it with me when this all happens, as it will have weathered wonderfully and serve as the physical representation of my dreams, which will have come true. It's just that in the meantime, it may have to settle for a cramped balcony instead of a sweeping front porch :)

In fact, if this lovely little rocker were mine, I might be so inclined as to dedicate a few days of my vacation time to a lazy Wednesday, Thursday and Friday as well. Just me, this chair, the porch, a tall glass of iced tea, my Nintendo DS Lite and enough rounds of Tetris to have me seeing falling blocks for weeks!

I love spending as much time outdoors as possible in the summer, but I also hate sweating (I know, it's a tricky situation!), and I have to be careful to keep my oh-so-Irish skin out of the direct sun as much as possible. I don't ... I love spending as much time outdoors as possible in the summer, but I also hate sweating (I know, it's a tricky situation!), and I have to be careful to keep my oh-so-Irish skin out of the direct sun as much as possible. I don't tan - I burn. And badly. So, I spend a lot of time under hats and patio umbrellas sipping iced tea and the occasional mojito! My favorite thing about this patio set is the swivel chairs, which let you easily move around to talk to others, and help prevent that awful sound of chair legs scraping on cement or bricks. Like nails on a chalkboard!
