Schrödinger's Cat Is Dead - T Shirt
There's something wonderfully, starkly wrong with this t-shirt and I like it. It basically says: Screw you, quantum physics. Screw your fancy-pants wave-functions and theoretical thought experiments, your billion dollar atom-smashers and snarky lab coats. The cat's DEAD. Get over it. For those not in the know, the famous physicist Schrödinger wrote a ridiculously lengthy, convoluted paper crammed with every scientific term he could find, that could just as easily have been written as follows: 1. Take a cat. Put him in a box. 2. Put a bomb in the box . The fuse may be faulty. Close the lid. 3. Maybe the bomb went off, maybe it didn't. The cat, according to the magic of Quantum Mechanics, is both alive and dead. PETA didn't exist at the time.
