Wire in the Blood - BBC TV

Tony Hill (Robson Greene, Touching Evil) is a brilliant but troubled clinical psychologist. He has a knack for understanding the criminal mind, which mostly gets him into a lot of trouble. It also lands him on a number of murder investigations, in the hopes that he can help profile and hunt down serial murderers. Tony works with Detective Inspector Carol Jordan (Hermione Norris) and alhough they have very different approaches, they find that their skills complement each other, and that they will only solve these horrible murders by working together. Wire in the Blood is as good as television gets. Any fans of psychological horror need to hunt this series down as soon as possible. The best TV show to come from British TV. Do not miss it!

  • ... expect little from this one and you'll be happily saisfied. It's a , relatively predictable, but kind-of fun heist film. Plus, i think it might be based on a true story, but I can't say for sure.

But out of his limited budgets and lurid studio-provided titles, he crafted masterpieces of horror and suspense. His atmospheric films are often neglected and rarely talked about and this boxed set includes the best for an incredibly reasonable price. These are truly artistic thrillers all together in one collection for less than $30 bucks. Don't let the silly titles fool you...these are serious films about the dark half of mankind. To quote an editorial review of the collection, James Agee, the premier American film critic of the 1940s, reckoned that Val Lewton was one of the three foremost creative figures in Hollywood--an assessment yet more impressive when we consider that the other two were Charles Chaplin and Walt Disney. Includes: Cat People / The Curse of the Cat People / I Walked with a Zombie / The Body Snatcher / Isle of the Dead / Bedlam / The Leopard Man / The Ghost Ship / The Seventh Victim / Shadows in the Dark

I mean, I watched this movie only 5 years ago and I shrieked out loud and jumped in my seat. Yeah. Hepburn is a blind woman in her apartment all alone. A couple of thieves find out about this and visit the woman's home repeatedly, disguising their voices each time, so they can size up the place. They decide to wait until dark to make their move. And yes, one of the thieves does look familiar. Its a young Alan Arkin (grandpa from Little Miss Sunshine).

This is an amazing movie and thank you for not patronizing me by telling me everything will be O.K. and giving me a sugar coated ending. I'm not saying everything is messed up in the end of this movie, but I like where it concluded. Ryan Gosling is a basehead. And he's a NYC school teacher. Conflict of interest maybe? Yes. He forms a friendship with one of his young students who's about to make a pretty bad move. Can he steer her in the right direction? Well, would you take advice from a crack head. I think not. All the actors in this movie were outstanding! Rent this. Don't walk, run.

Ryan Gosling plays the dark, mysterious role that that we've come to love. In this psychological thriller, he is the figment (or is he?) of a man's imagination after a horrible accident and they go through a series of events that lead up to the night of the crash.

  • Love love love it! Especially for people who reject the whole brand/big box/famous label thing - and love a good story of intrigue at the same time - this is a fantastic read.
