I've had a recent compulsion to learn how to identify trees. It grew out of a disappointment that I live on a block with trees, I see them every day and have no idea what the are. I've got pine tree down, but that's it. Oh, and palm tree...easy. Plus, as an artist, when I go to get work framed I'm completely ignorant of which wood to use. Each block is made of a different wood and on each block is a picture and the name of the type of tree it came from.... in English, French AND German! Brilliant!

First off, the film was awesome -- everything you could ever want in an animated feature. Secondly, the sound track is knock-you-socks off, fun. It has a great Jack Johnson feel, but the childlike tunes bring you back.

This appears to be an awesome animal magazine. I'm looking for a gift for a two year old and this just may be the trick. The other thing I like about a magazine subscription is that your gift will keep coming all year long!

This CD changes the letter people up a little (now there are 13 boys and 13 girls - instead of just the vowels being girls). And some of the songs got updated - but the music is classic! My little girl loves them already! This is a great investment (even though it's a little expensive up front). You'll be using it for several years to reinforce what your child learns about the alphabet.

The short stories are played by adorable puppies to exemplify golden rules like treating others like you want to be treated. I also really liked that they state the classical music composer to the soundtrack of each story. Its a very fun way to educate kids. I know my kids will watch this over and over. I think there are still shows running on HBO but I really recommend the DVD!
