Portable Crank Lantern/Radio (No Batteries Needed!) with Cool Features

Harness the power of your muscles! This is the COOLEST lantern ever! We first started looking for something like this after our last power outage (rural Michigan), which lasted two days. Cranking the handle for about a minute creates a store of energy that should last about an hour! We started thinking how savvy it is to create electricity using mere manpower. This is also the perfect solution for no-electricity situations, including camping (it's sooooo light and narrow for easy packing), traveling, and power outages. Never worry again about not having charged/full batteries when you need them. But the coolest thing about this lantern is the extra features, including compass, 15 red and white LED emergency flashing beacon,# AM/FM radio with MP3 input, 120 decibel siren, night light, high frequency, ultrasonic mosquito repeller, cell phone charger (for a Nokia cell phone, adapters are available for other model phones), and MP3 connector cord. All of this without batteries or power cord!!

I love this compressor; it is small, light, and quiet. So quiet, in fact, that other tradesmen who encounter it are amazed at the muffled sound it creates, making it seem like it's running in another room when it is right next to you. Although it doesn't hold a lot of air, it is plenty enough for any trim nailer and it pumps up very fast. An exceptional tool for a trim carpenter or a do-it-yourselfer.

So I was putting up pictures in my apartment and probably couldn't have done it without this little guy. I was having such a hard time finding a stud so I asked my neighbor if he could help me out. He brought over this stud finder and recommended that I buy one. That is exactly what I did. Now I will never have to borrow his again!

I was on the hunt for a new screwdriver set for my father because I accidentally lost his not too long ago because a friend needed to borrow them and I never got them back. I decided to go with Stanley screwdrivers because of the grips. I gave them to my father apprehensively because I was unsure of what his reaction was going to be because I lost his set. He was actually happy I lost them and got these because apparently Stanley is amazing.

I joined a class to learn some different techniques but I already carved a little duck. I think with some practice and time I will be able to enter some craft shows with my carvings. I have this carving tool set and it works great. I did not think I would be able to do it but these carving tools definitely do what I want them to do.

So my friends and I were going camping in the Northern part of the States so I picked up this wood splitter to use to cut fire wood. Last time we went camping we had absolutely no way of cutting fire wood and spent the whole night trying to scrounge up enough wood to get us through. I did not want to go the whole trip dealing with that again.

Last week at the dinner table he was going on and on about how his cord gets in the way. So I took it upon myself to get him a drill that I know he will appreciate. I just want to give it to him now because he uses his drill almost every weekend.

The "L" is for laser, need you know more? Okay, maybe you do. Porter Cable tools are always top notch and this is a great miter saw even without the laser guides, but this dual laser guides (one on each side of the saw kerf) make it awesome. Cutting 45 degree angles and getting the length right is always harder than it should be. Being able to line your mark up with a laser and cut perfectly the first time really makes all the difference in the world.
