Okay so my husband has a 2005 Prius (when the new ones came out) and I have to admit that I'm jealous of it...a lot. Sure my car has a supercharger, but the Prius gets MPGs in the 40s, and that's awesome. I have zero negative things to say about this car. The GPS is awesome, the hybrid-ness is cool and impressive, and it's got lots of fun little gadgets like the ON button and the spring-loaded gear shifter. There's a TON of room inside; my husband even fit a twin mattress in the back -- with the door closed! Can't recommend this enough...if you can get one!

  • I think you can do pretty much anything outdoorsy with this one...

  • Yes, I know, it's a Prius- but this generation actually got cool-looking and this is a superb color. You can have the interior in any color leather you choose. I love it!!

  • The Yaris is a hilariously cute car, very cheap, great gas mileage, and believe me, four grown-ups can fit in the car at the same time! And it's a hatchback! What's not to love?

I just believe that our addiction to oil threatens our freedom and way of life. Our petro-dollars are directly funding some of the most dangerous governments in the world, many of whom support terrorists. It is our patriotic duty to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil, and until our leaders begin behaving like they really have our interests at heart, we each need to make small sacrifices for the greater good. It turns out my Prius is roomy, quiet, fast, nimble, and requires very little feeding (averaging 43 miles-per-gallon) and I drive with a lead foot! Stop procrastinating and start demonstrating your true patriotism.

  • This concept car runs on hydrogen (you know, that stuff that is 2 parts of H2O?) which also means it doesn't run on gas!

  • Matrix is a fun zippy car, and their new color for 09, "Sundance Metallic" wins my heart. As an ultimate fashion accessory, this would not look cartoon-y or taxicab-like at all, like a lot of other yellow(-ish) cars.

I just bought a 2008 Camry Hybrid. It's great. We were looking for a fuel-efficient car that offered some luxury appointments: Leather seats, iPod hookups, built-in Nav system, steering wheel controls and handsfree phone. All that, and there's room to move around inside. I'm loving the keyless operation, how quiet it can be, and messing around to see how little fuel we can use when accelerating from a stop.

Well built, and with proper driving habits, I get 48 mpg in the summer and 40-42 mpg in the winter. Could use a little better rear vision, which I hear they are working for for the Gen. 3 model. Buyer beware the Gen. 1 model if you are buying used, because it sacrifices smog forming emissions for better fuel economy.
