Innocence & Despair: The Langley Schools Music Project
Ok, so in the 70's, a music teacher in the Langley School district decided to have a group of his young students cover some contemporary songs. He recorded these sessions and what you have is pure magic! The kids cover of Desperado will melt your heart! I didn't think David Bowie's Space Oddity could get any weirder until I heard it sung by a group of 7 years olds. This is definitely worth listening to. Go to iTunes and listen to Desperado to get a sampling of this oddity.
I wanted to recommend an 8 track cassette but those don't really exist anymore. So this will have to do. And it isn't that bad of a substitute. Just look at that SOUL!
Okay, the 70s would not have been the same without this guy. Just think what your life would be like if you never got to enjoy the sounds of Tiny Dancer!?!?! Almost Famous could barely be a movie without this guy!
