Rane TTM-56 Mixer
I had a vestax when this mixer first came out and really didnt think there could be that big of a difference in the crossfader even though any dj i knew that had one swore by it. i tried one out and they were right, the feel of the rane magnetic crossfader is unparalleled as well as its razor sharp curve control.

I was stuck on the shure m44-G's and 44-7's for a long time when I still played vinyl and switched to the ortofon scratch OM cartridges because I would have a lot of local gigs in NYC where the mixers wouldn't have gain controls s... I was stuck on the shure m44-G's and 44-7's for a long time when I still played vinyl and switched to the ortofon scratch OM cartridges because I would have a lot of local gigs in NYC where the mixers wouldn't have gain controls so the the extra high output on the ortofons helped a lot. Now that I use Serato the extra output from the digitrack needles gives a stronger signal.

I know its just a needle case and it may seem trivial but you could throw this thing off a ten story building and your needles will still be ok which is pretty important if your using turntables.

Best sound and most comfortable for dj'ing in the club. I've tried other brands of headphones and haven't found anything that comes close to the sound and comfort that these have.
