Fred Flare: Turntable Watch by Tokidoki
How appropriate that Tokidoki should design a watch . . . the name itself means "sometimes" in Japanese. And, as with everything Tokidoki, even the packaging is a design statement. Only a tiny portion of the watch face actually reveals the time. The rest is a D.J. motion machine, as the turntable rotates in beat with the passing seconds. If only you could add tunes too !
Nearly as much toy as watch, the material and minimalism of this watch make it a natural for summer days of playing, browsing and carousing.
This watch fits right into the marvelous mash-up of prints coming our way this spring in the form of maxi dresses, blouses, skirts, pants and shorts. It is early 21st century art in the form of a watch.
