The Very Best of THE VELVET UNDERGROUND
It's obviously gonna be a great CD...it's THE VELVET UNDERGROUND...but if you just want the songs your gonna put 5 stars to on your iTUNES...here's a good one...also if you've worn the t-shirt with the Andy Warhol banana on it but have never listened to the VU...you should check out this album. It's cool like this weather in L.A. lately...and I dig it and you will too! X

Gang of Four came on hot and heavy on their early recordings, "Entertainment" contains many of their signature pre-Euro tracks, the sound is all raw energy, perfect for dancing or smelting in a Black Sea hotel.

The sheer courage of Beck's endeavors is always pause worthy. Sometimes he hits, others he misses, but he's always pushing boundaries. This time, he's taking entire albums and covering them, via online videos. Very impressive.

Not to mention it was because of this album that we have "The Royal Tenenbaums." That is, Wes Anderson first thought of the movie as a single scene with someone getting off a bus to the tune of "These Days" It all came from there.
