I know if I indulge in a glass of wine it tastes far superior when drinking from a Waterford Crystal Wine Glass. I also drink my water ,milk, sports drinks from them and it makes drinking these far more sophisticated than drinkin... They are friends of ours, Jen Malloy and Bob Anderson: Bob was born in Kansas City, Missouri; he grew up in Redlands, California and graduated from Dartmouth College in New Hampshire with a major in history. Bob was a member of AD, Alpha Delta Phi, the fraternity which was immortalized in the comedy, Animal House. Animal House was written by Bob's fraternity brother, Chris Miller, and the character played by actor Tim Matheson, “Otter,” was based on Bob. Jennifer was born in Manhattan and grew up in Westchester. She graduated from Amherst College Magna cum laude with a degree in English. While at Amherst she won awards for her fiction writing and was encouraged by one of her professors to become a writer. And so, after graduating from Amherst, she worked for ABC as an administrative assistant on the soap opera Ryan's Hope and investigated the world of fiction writing; subsequently she decided to go to law school. She graduated from New York University School of Law and then moved to San Francisco where she began her law career at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison. While practicing law in San Francisco she met Bob and the two were married in Santorini, Greece. In 1999 Jennifer and Bob moved to Mendocino County with the goal of starting a small winery which would make distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.

This recommendation is for locals only at the moment, since they do not sell via the internet, but it is well worth the trip. You will fall in love with the Auger family.

In my experience, the big grocery stores typically have Blackstone wines on special and that's when I stock up.

My first go 'round with O'Reilly's Pinot Noir it cost about $25 a bottle. I see it's dropped a bit which is just fine with me. I love Oregon Pinots and O'Reilly's delivers. I love Oregon Pinots and O'Reilly's delivers. I was surprised to see another red I liked comes from the same winemaker - Sinister hand. I look forward to trying out some of their other wares, perhaps venturing into the Big Livin' area of Owen Roe's pricier wares.

It's actually pretty decent wine made by Lorraine Bracco-(of the Sopranos). Different kinds including chianti and a pinot- I tried it in the Hamptons last summer -good stuff. You can also buy it online at mondoliquor.com.
