What makes this great is the eVent fabric REI chose to use for this wonderful jacket. Get hot easy? This jacket actually breathes!!! I used to have to hike with no rain protection since gore-tex generally gets too hot.

Thankfully, Sweden based Tretorn saw a hole in the market and launched a new line of rubber boots that don’t scream “I’m only dressing this way because the weather sucks.” The Plask, with a 2-inch wedge heel and sexy slim profile is perfect for tucking those skinny jeans (bonus: no wet hems!). The boots drew envious glances from gals on the street as I stomped through puddles and indoors, as I made the trek from bar to bathroom.

These gumboots ROCK! (Can I say that? At forty-something?) They are also AFFORDABLE. (I mean, compared to most things I want.) My feet NEED these, badly. And yes, they're for women. Waaaaay coool.
