I only recently discovered xkcd, but within days I felt compelled to find the archive and read the strip from beginning to end (well, current, it's still running). How can I describe it? It's an interesting mix. It's mostly for... I only recently discovered xkcd, but within days I felt compelled to find the archive and read the strip from beginning to end (well, current, it's still running). How can I describe it? It's an interesting mix. It's mostly for laughs, often at some science, computer geekisims or geek culture bits, so you might miss some of the jokes (I'm pretty geeky myself but even I sometimes get lost). But there are plenty of love (occasionally dead serious), life thoughts and observations, and general pranks that make it a hodepog of, as the creator describes it, "romance, sarcasm, math, and language." If you start at the first comic expect some random drawings. Things get really good in the middle with some pretty darn funny characters. I like how he blends comics like one about Shrodingers cat and the next one is, "How to be a Classhole". Check it out and see what you think. I gathered some randomly funny strips here in the images. (lawfully obtained under a Creative Commons license). I'll probably be updating this recommendation when I feel a bit more eloquent.
