I guess they didn't want his 'help' because they ate him. And his girlfriend too. Eesh. This is a great, awkward and unsettling documentary by none other than Werner Herzog. Of course.

It's more about one person's experience during the war. Beautiful cinematography, convincing special effects (or are those actual newsreels?) and the engaging (true, declassified) story of Dieter Dengler's experience on the ground make this worth seeing in the theater.
