Power Whistle w/ LED Light, Compass and Thermometer
Ever since Sept. 11, 2001, I have been carrying a whistle in my purse for emergency. I remember hearing about someone being trapped under the WTC rubbles and using her cell phone. Emergency never got to her as her cell phone signals kept diminishing - her battery had probably died. I take the subway every day to go to work (yes, we have a subway here in L.A.) and since, we have earthquakes, I thought what better idea than to have this small gizmo to use in case of emergency - as long as I can breathe, I can use a whistle. Something to think about in our chaotic world today...

The Peter Pan collar of this dress might be a bit twee if it weren't for the fact that it is fashioned from a leopard print fabric (as are the cuffs.) The navy color of the lace takes the edge up and additional notch or two.

I did not test this whistle to see if it actually makes any sound at all. But I do love the substantial weight of it in my hand. It is a nifty, go-with-everything pendant . . . I suggest pairing it with stripes.

My wife and I both have this whistle in our car emergency kits. The whistle is rated at 120 dB. Someone has to hear you with this emergency whistle if you are trapped under a pile of rubble.
