Murphy-Goode Sauvignon Blanc 2007 "The Fumé"

We're drinking this right now! (since we bought so much of the wine for my Murphy Goode Winery job application video). Fortunately, the Fumé Blanc (the Californication of Sauvignon Blanc) is super perfect for the beginning of summer since it pairs well with "appetizers, salads, grilled chicken or fish, light sauces and lighter dishes in general. The wine's succulent fruit and good acidity complement fresh seafood, particularly shellfish." So this weekend, we're throwing some shrimp on the barbie (maybe a couple on ken, too), and starting the summer off with Murphy Goode's "The Fumé."

Sure, sure, there are rich, fruit flavors of black cherry and blackberry jam with soft tannins that perfectly balance the sweetness of the fruit.
