Burton Headphone Beanie

Burton Headphone Beanie

While I prefer to use actual headphones when riding, the headphone beanie by Burton has become a very welcome accessory. There are those days when the temp goes negative and your ears need some protection besides a goggle strap. The headphones are not Hi-Fi quality, but they are more than sufficient when riding. The style of the beanie isn't screaming "Hey look at me, I'm a cool kid", but it is screaming "Pilot to bombardier, open the bay doors", which I actually like. The beanie also keeps your noggin very warm and doesn't lock in tons of moisture.

Well, the temperature has dropped below freezing here in NJ over the weekend . . . and so my mind starts to wander from the outdoors. I need some outerwear reinforcement to keep myself moving and motivated. In addition to being a very groovy hat indeed, this itch-free beanie will help keep me cozy on the frosty days to come. On the other hand, if you live in a warm climate and cannot wait to catch a glimpse of ice and snow, this hat might be your idea of "resort wear" . . . that's chill too. Good gifting.

If you have a slightly smaller/narrower face than the average Joe or Jane, finding a good pair of ski/snowboard goggles can be tough. Luckily, Alpina, a fine European winter sports brand, makes excellent all-around goggles sized just right for this demographic. The Remtitan is designed for smaller faces and has a lower profile. It has strategically placed openings that keep snow out but prevent fog from forming. Their Quatroflex technology blocks 100% of UV rays. It comes in multiple colors as well.
