Miss K Table Lamp - Black
This would be incredible in the black and white room I want to do someday: black lacquered walls and white accents. This lamp would almost disappear. The external diffuser appears black, but when the light is switched on, the outer shade takes on a transparent appearance and the subtle glow of the inner curved diffuser shines through. I love this lamp, it's lines, it's size, it's style. I don't love the price (even on sale for $2,884.00 USD) but it is exactly what I've been looking for. A modern version of the classic arc lamp.

I have a soft spot for these because I grew up with lamps like these in my childhood home. They were opaque but the shape is almost identical.

This is the new manufacture George Kovacs version, but I have the genuine article in my home. The classic mercury glass ball shape works anywhere, and with a soft bulb, the silvery quality of the base has a gentle reflectiveness.
