With a camera in hand I can try to catch those incidental moments that make up life more than the highly structured ones. I love this camera because it's skinny enough to fit in my purse, or when pushed, a pocket. Plus, I just love the Olympus interface...and when it comes down to it, that's a big deal breaker for me.

The klutz in me doesn’t want to worry about ruining my electronics when on the go, so the Stylus 770 SW is perfect for beachy getaways: it’s waterproof, shockproof, and crushproof, AND has a Hypercrystal LCD…OK, I don’t really know what that means, but I do know it allows me to see my pictures clearly in the bright sunlight and even underwater. Perfect to capture, and share with any newfound vacation chums!

  • A great portrait lens for a great price. Tack sharp, even at f/2. I love fixed focal-length lenses, because they open up really wide and are generally sharper than zoom lenses that are twice as expensive.

It's tiny (4.7oz, 3.7x2x1"). It has a 7.1x optical zoom. These two factors alone are impressive, but when I noticed in the specs that it can take wide angle shots, I was pretty much sold. It's range is 28-200mm instead of the usual 35-105mm of your standard 3X zoom digital camera. My only other concern is how fast the shutter response time is. I'm tired of missing just the right expression on my kids' faces and am willing to pay anything to have a picture taken when I press the button. Hmmm... Looks like the R5 is coming out soon...
