OK, so here's my Halloween costume idea: gather a bunch of baby dolls, a permanent marker, some lip liner, a pork pie hat and some architectural blue prints.

Know what it is?

Here's another hint: hang a vial of blood on a necklace.

Now you've got it: you and your beau are Brad and Angelina.

For her: Draw a bunch of tattoos all over whatever skin is exposed from your outfit, the more the better. Line those lips all pouty like and wear your blood-vial necklace. Then attach like 4 baby dolls to your person. One should definitely be breast feeding.

For him: Wear your pork pie hat, carry the architectural blue prints, and similarly, tie like 3 babies to your body.

Bonus points: use a live baby and give it a faux hawk

Viva Pinata 2: Trouble in Paradise (Xbox 360)

I shed a tear as I make this recommendation... a tear of joy that there exists another, better Viva Pinata, a tear of sadness that I won't be buying Viva Pinata 2 anytime soon because I have what some might call a "problem" with this romancing-and-gardening digital paradise, in that "leaving the house" didn't happen much when I was involved with Viva Pinata 1.

But you, you should get this game. It is visually exquisite, and it involves exotic mating dances, flora, creatures of all stripes, spots and scales, the chiaroscuro of good-versus-evil and candy, mountains and mountains of crunchy dime-store suckers. Oh, and also shopping.

...And also, and here's the kicker, you never never ever lose. And you're never doing the wrong thing. It just goes on and on and on (and on) (for 6 hours) (I'd know).

As they say on Pinata Island, "Filled with fun... FILLED WITH FUN!"

Petunia Pickle Bottom, I quite like your black Rubicon Rucksack. It has a removable, washable lining, which those of us who think transporting salad dressing in our work bag is a good idea appreciate. And it's all lovely and rustic. And it has a little single hand lift-y thing in the back. And it's really affordable ($235).

It looks a little square and stiff, but I'm sure riding my bike over it a few times (pretty much an eventuality, let's be honest) would solve that.
