Zero-waste moving (if you live in L.A. or O.C.)!
Easy:They bring you a pile of plastic bins, you move, they pick them up at your new pad.
Cheap: a buck a box a day.
Righteous... In every sense of the word.

Grey Goose Vodka

Description
Here's the thing about Grey Goose: I like it just fine but I don't feel good about drinking it. Why not? Perhaps the question is better posed "Pourquoi pas?" and directed toward a French friend, who will tell you that personne in France drinks the stuff. Not like the marketing people from Grey Goose who prominently display the French flag on the bottle want you to believe. So, sure, I'll pour Goose over rocks and splash a little soda in there. But it makes me feel bought and sold. And not in a good way.

Craftsman 3 pc. Screw-Out Damaged Screw Remover Set - Model 52154
First to recommend
Description
Our toilet seat is broken. Because we broke it. Trying to remove a toilet seat using a hammer when the screws are stripped is not an approach i would recommend. Thing is, when you have a rainbow stripe-y toilet seat that you want to replace your lame white toilet seat with, and the thing won't come off, you get a little crazy. Desperate crazy. And angry. And you get a hammer and start hitting things. Next time, I will choose serenity and visit the hardware store for a damaged screw remover set like this. And I'll save the hammer for more hammer-friendly projects. Like earwig annihilation.

JCPenney : Dyson DC17 Animal Vacuum
First to recommend
Description
This thing is like Rosie, your own cleaning robot. (Congratulations to those of you who got the Jetson reference on their own.) It has so many tricky, modular parts that I suspect ours is a Transformer and turns into a walking/talking robot when not decimating dust bunnies. Speaking of bunnies, this model is the pet Dyson, which is handy for those who are pet inclined. One time I used ours to vacuum clumps of cat hair off the Synlawn after a nasty alley cat brawl one night. The thing ate that bloody cat hair up like a charm (What?! Did that gross you out? I'm just trying to make a point here... the thing sucks... in a good way).
And, also, it's kind of sexy, isn't it? About as sexy as a Transformer vacuum gets, if you ask me.

Henri Bendel - Knitwear - Double Cardigan By Victor Glemaud

Description
It is impossible for me to say whether I actually like the fashion blender that is this sweater (boyfriend prep meets retro ski meets 8th grade English teacher) or if I'm blinded by the Bendel light. Either way, thought it was worth sharing.

Blanket Stitch Twill by Calvin Klein Home - Shop By Brand

Description
Sheets aren't all about thread count, people. What you're reallly looking for is a certain je ne sais quoi that makes you say, "Yummy, let's dive in." Calvin, I'll cannonball into your blanket-stitch shimmery silvery sheets any day. No one does greys like you do greys. And no one brings it in the fiber quality and luxe-y, satin-y finish department quite like you. And, while we're chatting I should, um, apologize about that time when I henna tattoed my guy's name on my bootie and didn't wear boxers to bed and, well, branded you without asking. Because, apparently, while henna wears off of me, it's indelible (and reversed) as far as things go with you. So, yeah, sorry about that.
