PATRICK TARDIEU, world-class professional athlete, international business entrepreneur, traveler and connoisseur of the finest, based Bogosse upon an unexpected, strong, clear vision in a hidden, exclusive boutique he discovered in Paris.
Raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and a soccer star since the age of 4, Patrick signed his first professional soccer contract at the young age of 16. Educated in Brussels, he obtained a Bachelor in Business Administration. His soccer career led him to travel the world for many years; notably as Captain of the Senior National Soccer Team of Haiti. Patrick was the first Haitian player signed to a US Major League team, the New England Revolution, where his reputation for impeccable sartorial style matched his athletic successes.
As a man of substance behind his style, in 1993, he moved to the US from Europe and created Tarimex, the # 1 freight forwarding and shipping company in Haiti, concurrently playing professional soccer.
In 2003, in quest of new business and creative challenges, Patrick's discovery in that Paris boutique led him to attempt to introduce to the US market what he then thought to be the highest quality shirts he had ever came upon. Just as he foresaw, the overwhelming receptivity of customers in the US pointed to the possibility of a successful business. The manufacturer's unfortunate hesitation to invest in Patrick's vision ended up inspiring Patrick, a firm believer in adversity generating creativity.
Excited, he called his brother Fabrice, a fashion industry veteran and proposed they join forces to create “the perfect shirt’- one that would make a strong statement, one perfectly adaptable to day, nightlife or casual looks- always luxurious and thus…Bogosse.
FABRICE TARDIEU, quintessential bon vivant, always passionately followed his strong urge to travel the world and discover new cultures. Full of adventure, he left Haiti at 13 to attend middle school in the US, followed by international business and management studies in Paris. With an intense passion for fashion and on a mission, Fabrice interned with Giorgio Armani France. In 3 short months, his dreams came true when he was offered a position as Head of Sales and Distribution for Emporio in France and the French Caribbeans. After half a decade with Armani, where he doubled sales in the first two seasons, extensive European travel and an enviable personal agenda and lifestyle, Fabrice came to realize something was missing.
Craving a way to express his creativity, talent for style and fashion, that phone call from Patrick became Fabrice’s newest frontier, Bogosse.
