Butternut Squash Gourd Lamps
First to recommend
Description
This time of year people often use pumpkins, squash and other gourds to decorate their homes. If you are looking to make that sort of look permanent you could invest in the ceramic butternut gourd lamps from Christopher Spitzmiller. Spitzmiller is a celebrated New York City-based designer who works with a small team of artisans to create each lamp. Each lamp is set in hardwood base cover with either 23k yellow gold or 9k white gold. The bases can also be finished in mahogany or enameled and come with an off white vellum paper shade. The lamp costs $1,475 for the standard wood base or $1,875 for the white gold base.

Leaf Light By Yves Behar For Herman Miller

Description
Few desk lamps come with as big of a buzz as the leaf lamp designed by Yves Behar for Herman Miller. It was even written up by Businessweek earlier this year. The leaf lamp is an LED crowd pleaser which lets the user customize intensity and color in order to set a mood or a location. The vertical blade of the leaf light swivels and the range of motion allows the user to have an intense lighting or a more ambient experience. The leaf remains cool and the LEDs use less than 12 watts of power and use 40% less energy than a compact flourescent light. The light is available in red, white, black, nickel or polished aluminum and start at $499.

Description
You might be familiar with Francois Nars for his makeup line but Nars also has created a line of candles. The candles are simply packaged in red, white or black glass with the Nars logo and burn for 70 hours. The latest scent is Jaipur, a citrus blend with notes of pomegranate and light florals and a warm base of amber and vanilla. The candle is red wax in a red glass making it holiday friendly without the heavy pine or cinnamon scents that too often dominate holiday-themed candles. It sells for $45.

Koffski Holster Wallet

Description
Worried that a manbag might seem a bit girly? There's no worry about that with the Koffski. The Koffski is a wallet that is reminiscent of a gun holster and has room for a billfold, pen, keys, cell phone and more. It can be worn a couple of different ways as either a shoulder bag, at the waist (a much better option than wearing a fanny pack) or, the coolest option, under the arm using the shoulder holster. The Koffski is made of Rugato calfskin and comes in black, blond and brown.
