I am the Founder and CEO of Food Art Group, Inc., bringing my entrepreneurial skills to oversee creative endeavors. I am widely recognized for my distinctive style and high quality traditional French cuisine.
My innate culinary skill brought me to Reims, France to work for Chef Gerard Boyer in his restaurant Les Crayeres. I returned to the United States to work under Chef Daniel Boulud at Restaurant Daniel in New York. This training honed my attention to details. My next move was to Los Angeles to work with Chef and Restaurateur Joachim Splichal. Soon after I joined the executive board of Raffle's L'Ermitage Hotel in Beverly Hills claiming the position as Executive Chef and opening the restaurant JAAN in the hotel.
I design my modern French menus to reflect the seasonal availability of produce and fish. From this base of ultimate freshness, I improvise each preparation to the specifications of my guests guaranteeing that each dish will be a unique creation.
My goal has always been to open my own restaurant. I achieved this with the opening of Sona in 2002.
I was named Food & Wine Magazine's "Best New Chef of 2003", and Angeleno Magazine's "Chef of the Year" in 2004. I have appeared on “The Today Show” and CNN.
