DwellStudio Home Geometry Shower Curtain

First to recommend

Description

Dwellstudio Home Geometry Shower Curtains remind us that the home bathroom is an underrated place in our lives. Its role in is essential, yet many find themselves frequenting the most mundane room in their house. Some try to personalize the space and with little effort find themselves looking at the same random pictures that tellingly qualify as “bathroom art”. These are usually the pieces that were not quite good enough to make it to the ‘important’ areas, and those which simply cannot be parted with. Dwellstudio’s new Geometry Shower Curtain will let you shed those pieces and focus on what’s important-spicing up the places that count. The Geometry Pattern appeals to children who make out space ships and interesting shapes from the array of dark and light colors, and to adults who have an affinity for the fun new wave Geometrics of the 1980’s. Make a statement without saying too much…

Rudie Raccoon

2 people recommended this item

Description

It was hard to decide which Donna Wilson Creature to feature. There was a close tie between Edd Red Head, (the most bombastic red headed toy ever seen), and Rill, a fire colored fox with eyes like a bandit. But my true favorite of the bunch is Rudi Raccoon (pictured far right in photo). His awkward little body and white eyes would make the perfect office friend, play companion, or gift. Those who may not see love at first sight, try recalling Michel Gondry’s recent film “Science of Sleep”, where handmade creatures and playful art form character’s dreams and realities. Donna Wilson creates caricatures of animals and indescribable species each stuffed with personality by the hand of the artist. Still, It’s as if she put a pile of colored socks in a blender and the creatures came out on their own accord, forming a different sect of society. Donna Wilson’s Rudi Raccoon and other friends can be found right here at Design Public! (via Design Public)

jefdesigns Home Bubbles Pillows

Description

There is something mysterious about the Octopus-like creature that stares at you from the corner of jefdesigns Home Bubble Pillow. Look closer and you'll realize it's a knot in a faux wood printed pillow.
Joe Futschik, founder of jefdesigns runs his ongoing sea anemone series now upon eco-friendly, kapok filled cushions. His taste for nature's complexity, such as the grace of an abstract sea specimen, is now set within an optically illusive, wood grain print. He shows that us that it's not always necessary to chop down a tree to enjoy the beauty of fine wood grain. Instead you can trick your senses into eco-consciousness. jefdesigns Bubble Pillow is available exclusively here at Design Public. (via Design Public)

Description

The Hiya series is named after Bob & Nicole's son... a nickname given to him by his twin sister as soon as she could utter her first words. The Hiya Rocker is painted with an eco-friendly non-toxic paint and has a book bin in the back for storage of books or art gear. The seat is extra wide to allow for two small kids to read a book together. (via Design Public)

Fauna Kuma Bear - Arrow

First to recommend

Description

Fauna's animalistic tendencies spring to life with his latest organic cotton Kuma Bear. These soon-to-be collectibles can nestle snug against your classic heirloom teddy bear in its glass case. But don't put them away now! Leave them out for admiration of Warholian color vibrance and hand sewn craftsmanship. Feel free to pet-name, but their given names are Zig, Zag, Cedar, Feather, Dot and Arrow which in my opinion, pretty accurately describe their personality and print. The Fauna Kuma Bear is available here at Design Public. (via Design Public)

Description

Charming, romantic, unforgettable, the Artecnica Garland Light mesmerizes with its delicately etched floral patterns. The lamp is made from a continuous metal strand that is wrapped around a light bulb. With a simple clip, Garland secures to the base of a bulb and may be shaped into practically any form. Intertwine multiple Garlands to create larger shades. Garland is included in the permanent collection of MoMA New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum London. (via Design Public)

Roller Stop

Description

Harry Allen’s Roller Stop will stop you in your tracks. That’s because he’s always looking to shock and perplex. The randomness of his Roller skate door stop cast in chrome is more than just a conversation piece that you wish you had thought of. This one expounds his philosophy that everyday objects can be more complex than they are given credit for. At the same time, the shiny chrome finish, akin to a pair of original baby shoes cast in copper, let’s you slip a laugh without thinking twice. Check out all of Harry Allen’s Reality Series such as a walnut bowl cast with walnuts, a candle shaped like a light bulb, and a pig bank made from a real pig?! at designpublic.com (via Design Public)

Description

Backyard mud pie parties. Cowboy boots paired with a princess dress. Wearing three different outfits all at once, because you just can't decide! Big brother's hand-me-downs dressed up with a pink sash. It's not exactly the essence of style, but it is without a doubt the inspiration behind Petunia Pickle Bottom's amazing collection of daringly fashionable diaper bags. (via Design Public)
