Back when I had long hair I used to wear hats to look cute. Now, with short hair, when I wear a hat it's because something scary is happening with my hair. If I am going to cover up the scary it may as well be with something cute. This hat looks like something a crazy old lady would wear and for some bizarre reason ... I like that.

When I close my eyes and see myself on the perfect cruise (not the vision of sea-sick imperfect cruise) I see myself in a bikini, floppy hat, sunglasses, and Elle magazine. Ahh .... lovely.

Normally it would be pretty hard to think about winter hats when its hot as the dickens in Los Angeles right now. Seriously, I don't know what happened but all of a sudden my apartment is feeling like sauna. But as I cruise through ShopBop.com I am instantly starting to feel the chill. The warm chunky knits of Mischa Lampert's hats and scarves are starting to make want a snow storm. Alright perhaps that is a little extreme but as soon as one nip hits the air I am going to have one of these hats grace my beautiful skull.
