Traveling is always a good time for me but packing always seems to be a bit of a nightmare. You don't want to leave behind your favorite things but then again you don't want to over pack. Nothing in the world can get me to pack only one pair of shoes and one pair of jeans but if you can help me scale down on the number of beauty and haircare products then you can count me in.

Nick Arrojo from TLC's What Not to Wear (man, I love that show) has his own haircare line. It's fitting because he is the one who jazzes up everyones hair on the show. These kits come with 1.7fl oz products that are leak proof and they all come in a handy clear zipper bag. You can buy customized kits based on hair type: Daily kit, moisturizing kit, a kit for texture, or a kit for curly hair.

What I like best about the kit is that not only does it have great stuff but it looks amazing, which makes it an awesome gift. This kit would make a great gift for the girl in your life who spends more time in a plane than she does anywhere else.

Oh and this kit is TSA approved, we love that!

Japonesque Manicure Set

Here is a little something that only the people closest to me know ... My nails are busted, like all the time. I am not a manicure girl, in fact my best friend once told me that my hands are "fit for digging." Pretty harsh huh?

Occasionally (like once a year)I will shock people and get a manicure at a salon. Why so seldom you ask? I fear disease so naturally I have assumed that I will pick up something nasty and lose a finger at a nail salon. My manicures need to be done in a clean environment, my house.

Good thing I just got this handy kit from Japonesque which has everything I need for a manicure. These quality stainless steel tools are inside a protective case (mine is red) that opens up for easy access to your tools. The kit includes nail clippers, cuticle scissors, tweezers, nail nippers, and a combo tool that files, scoops and grooms.

The first step for me is figuring out what all of that stuff does and the second step is actually using them. Wish me luck! (via We Love Beauty)

Helena de Natalio - Magy Bag

High-end leather goods associated with socially responsible business practices is something I can get on board with this holiday season. Helena de Natalio handbags are designed and produced in Argentina where the designer (Helena) lived while serving in the Peace Corps as a volunteer. All of these gorgeous handbags are made by Argentine artisans who aren’t working in a hideous environment.

All of the aspects really help you feel good about spending money on a handbag. It doesn't have to be all about the "it" bag because doing ‘good’ is so much better.

All the feel good stuff aside, this bag is pretty sweet. The size isn't as large and in charge as I typically go for but it has enough room for your essentials. When I say essentials, I mean what normal people carry in their bags -- I carry my life and someone else's in my bag.

The Magy bag has cute bow details, which are very "Gossip Girl". The leather is soft and the bag is loaded with tiny details for convenience like a key loop and a cell phone pocket.

Looking for a tech gift that will impress the pickiest dude and won't set you back a fortune? Look no further than the Insignia DVD/CD/HD Radio Compact Shelf System with USB Port (that's a mouthful isn't it).

I am typically intimidated by electronics like this but after giving this system a test run I have to say, I might have shaken my fear of electronics. The box is bigger than I expected, which means a way impressive gift for only $127.99, but the system inside is compact and can fit into a small space.

The set up was simple, I didn't even read the instructions ... I loathe instructions. And if I can do it anyone can do it.

The system does it all. It plays your iPod and comes with different adapters so any iPod can fit. It plays your CDs (do people have those anymore). It has HD radio and get this ... it plays your DVDs. Call me crazy but I had no idea one machine could do all of this.

There is a whole bunch of other snazzy stuff this machine does but it all too technical for me to describe. Head to Insignia's site or Best Buy to read the full specs.

This little bon-bon box of Bond. no.9 fragrances look good enough to eat. No, really they do. They showed up in the mail yesterday and I was contemplating eating them -- just one nibble. Then I realized I would be poisoned by expensive perfume and the best option for me would be to actually put them on.

But I am afraid.

I am afraid to open them and spoil the beauty. Thankfully I can smell the scent through the packaging so I can decide on my favorite before cracking open every tube. My favorite by far is Bryant Park but all of them smell wonderful. Check out the cute names for all of the scents ...

Description

Don't judge a book by it's cover because this cover is fug. The colors are all wrong and the girl is in desperate need for a manicure. But once you get past the cover the book is really good -- informative, fashionable, and has a ton of history which is written in a not-so-boring text booky way. It's a good thing, trust.

BURN Fresh Fig Apricot Candle

Description

Burn candles are the best candles in the world, hands down. Sometimes I go into Fred Segal and start sniffing candles. I just stay in there sniffing away until a salesperson walks up and then I scamper away. The candle I am smelling is this purple one. The ones in Fred Segal are $55 but this one on Intermix is only $35. What a deal.

Now don't go thinking that I need a nose trimmer because I don't. I have a perfect nose that has just enough tiny hairs to filter out germs. Now the men in my family, I don't know if I can say the same for them. You see kids, when you get older you start getting hair in weird places. Especially the dudes. Dad's get hair in their ears and nose, its just plain gross. Gift them with a nose trimmer but make sure you show them the video on this site (http://shaveeverywhere.com/) so they will be able to laugh about it. Trust me on this one because if you don't show them the video they will get really mad at you and next year your gift with suffer the consequences.
